Vanessa prides herself on being friendly and approachable in an industry that can be found daunting to the aspiring individual collector.
After graduating from Edinburgh University with an MA in History of Art, Vanessa began her career at Phillips (now Bonhams) on George Street in Edinburgh. In 2002 she moved to London to work at Christie’s in the Post War & Contemporary Department, going on to help establish and run a leading Modern British Gallery in St James’s. In 2010 Vanessa became a partner in Cape Town’s leading boutique auction house, Provenance.
